VanderKooi works mainly in Watercolors as well as various other graphic media such as 3D rendering and other computer processed images. Watercolor is John's signature in the art world. He has painted images of North American scenes that you have probably passed along a highway or seen in the vast lands of Canada and the USA. The artist has travelled all over the country getting a feeling of the places and people he paints. He has an strong sense of color and puts his feelings into the paintings. From the city streets of Toronto to the mountains of the west, the sunsets of Florida to the farmlands of the Midwest, his travels display the subject matter we view but not necessarily see. Every artist has a different story to tell. That story unfolds on paper with brush and pigment in these pages.
